Shares of Tata Motors surged by 5% to Rs245 after reports stated that the company has so far raised Rs20bn from the public through a time- deposit plan. The scrip touched an intra-day high of Rs240 and a low of Rs230 and recorded volumes of over 1.5mn shares on BSE.
