Pri Market Commentary ...
Markets are higher across Asia but lag Wall Street's gains. So, it’s a no-brainer that we will also open with a gap.Don’t get carried away, as there are still worries on whether the ‘V’ shape recovery can continue without any hiccups.
Whatever growth is happening in the economies that were hit badly is largely due to government stimulus. It is not clear as to what will happen once that starts to unwind though the same is going to take place gradually. Real growth, driven by household and corporate demand is yet to return to pre-crisis levels.

Market Commentary ...
Today, let's blame it on the world for now. Even after a recent run of declines, we are in for a gap-down opening. The F&O expiry and a spate of results will add to the volatility. The market is also awaiting the release of Q3 GDP data later today in the US.The meaningful correction that had eluded us for long is underway even as we absorb a flurry of earnings. The big question is whether to buy on dips or loosen up a bit more given the uncertainty on the shape of recovery. Again murmurs of a double-dip recession will get louder till a rebound happens. Some recent economic reports from the matured economies have been a little disappointing.
Even in India, the latest data on infrastructure sector growth shows it is not going to be a smooth sailing. There could be further bumps ahead. For those who have booked profits when the going was good, you have the opportunities to put your money to better use.

Market Commentary ...
So, expect a bounce back though the start is still a nervous one due to mixed external trend. RIL will announce its results tomorrow and numbers could match expectations as there is usually some treasury gain to bank on.
With F&O expiry just a day away, further short covering could set in. Nifty Nov futures managed to end at a slight premium to the spot Nifty price.

Pre Market Commentary ..
The main indices are set to open lower given the weak global cues. Fund flows too have turned a little choppy off late. Technical and derivative indicators are also pointing to some cooling. Dow industrials suffered triple-digit loss after rising initially. Financials paced the fall on Wall Street and a stronger dollar battered commodity shares. Stocks in Europe closed lower in a topsy-turvy session. Asian markets are mostly in the red. All eyes will be on the RBI. The central bank may not tinker much with policy rates, but is expected to warn about rising inflation and rates having bottomed out.
