Today, we see the market opening higher again, on the back of a positive trend in the Asian markets and overnight gains in US market. Having said that, we would still advise traders to remain on guard for any unexpected correction.

The F&O expiry will result in wild intra-day swings. The other worrying aspect is the rising interest rates and possibility of some more tightening by the RBI at its meeting later in the month.

Reliance Industries has announced its FY08 results

Reliance Industries has announced its FY08 results.
The company's FY08 consolidated net profit was up 62% at
Rs 19523 crore versus Rs 12075 crore.

Its Q4 stanalone net profit up 24% at Rs 3912 crore versus 3156 crore.

Its standalone net sales up 36% at Rs 37,286 crore versus Rs 27,448 crore.

Today,Indian markets have several events to watch out for, which could keep indices volatile at least in the near term. Though, globally things are looking fine. CRR hike, although widely expected could have an impact today on the markets.
