Pre Market Commentary...
We’ve bounced back from the bear market lows to reclaim a milestone. But, we are still a long way away from the all-time highs. The question now is how would the journey ahead be? There are no easy answers, though on the whole, the mood seems to be upbeat. The real test for all will be when the steroid (stimulus) is gradually withdrawn. For now, everything looks bright and beautiful so may as well enjoy it.
All the bad news seems to have been discounted and the concerns are being overlooked temporarily. The fact is we went down hard and have rebounded. The worry is whether the ascent can continue at the same pace without major reversals. Stocks could gain further ground if the pace of liquidity gush persists. Among the potential headwinds are: inflation, interest rates, uncertainty over the external environment and lofty valuations.
GOOD LUCK! Sit on CASH!, always remember,
"Don't focus on making money;
focus on protecting what you have."
Happy Trading!!

Pre Market Commentary ...
Today, we expect another higher opening. The fact that the market has rallied so much does leave scope for a slight reversal anytime now.The bulls are in high spirits flexing their muscles as equities continue to remain on a roll globally. Hopes of a sustained economic rebound remain notwithstanding the fact that stocks are looking pricey. Inflation is not a near-term concern in the US and other advanced countries. Even in China, inflation remains a distant worry.
However, in India it already is giving some sleepless nights to the RBI and the Government. The coming few months will be a big litmus test for the RBI and the Centre. Hopefully, they will come out with flying colours.Apart from inflation, other worries seem to be ebbing. Recent reports on GDP, industrial output, tax collections and even exports suggest there could be some positive surprises on the economic front.
Liquidity is not an issue for now, as FIIs continue to be upbeat. So, the short story is that the momentum is with the bulls for now.

Pre Market Commentary ..
Fed chairman Ben Bernanke says the recession in the US is "very likely" over. Dollar remains weak amid a persistent bias towards risky assets. Commodities too are flaring up. To top it all, Warren Buffett says he is buying equities. Banks led from the front as far as advance tax numbers and stock gains are concerned. There is also talk of the RBI raising the cap on securities held under the HTM category to help banks avoid MTM losses. RBI chief D. Subbarao says he will maintain the expansionary monetary policy till the recovery is "secured".
The biggest challenge for the RBI now is to plan an exit strategy. Similar concerns may be giving sleepless nights to central bankers around the globe. Hopefully, the G20 Summit will throw some light on this crucial matter.

Pre Market Commentary
Today,we expect a cautious opening due to lack of clear trend in the global markets. The market may not make decisive move upwards over the next few days. The bulls have not been tested really, which leaves them vulnerable to some pull-back. A big crash is not an immediate fear; so don’t panic. Stock specific activity will continue to hog the limelight.
Complacency can be fatal especially for the bulls who seem to be in some kind of safety zone for a while. One year since the implosion of Lehman Brothers, things appear to be getting better. But, any casualness or haste could renew fears of a double-dip recession. Great Depression was prolonged due to premature monetary tightening. Hopefully, governments and central banks would have learnt well from history.
The G20 Summit later this month aims to take stock of the situation. There is a clamour for stringent financial regulations to avoid a repeat of the meltdown. Whether that materialises or not remains to be seen. Some are also calling for ending the bonus binge for top bankers to curb their gambling impulses.
