BPCL announced that it plans to invest Rs22bn on setting up a biodiesel project in northern India.The company will cultivate jatropha on 1mn acres of wasteland and plans to produce 1mn tons of biodiesel by 2015. BPCL closed at Rs337 losing 2.5%. The scrip touched an intra-day high of Rs342 and a low of Rs331 and recorded volumes of over 62,000 shares on BSE.
